From an early age Ben Starr, was destined to be in the communication industry. At the age of 13, he started his radio career hosting his own radio program at a local Community Radio Station 2RDJ-FM in Burwood, Sydney, Australia. While still at school Ben continued his work with 2RDJ-FM and during his 7 years with the station held a number of positions from Announcer, Technical Assistant, Marketing Co-ordinator, Satellite Program Manager, and Board Director.

At 18, Ben, moved into commercial radio working as Executive Producer on the 2UW breakfast program and also worked as a satellite program panel operator. At 20 Ben moved to the country and became Mid-Dawn Announcer on 2ZZZ Lismore a Rock Station and assisted in Production and the News Room. After a short stint Ben moved back to Sydney, and began freelancing his services as a radio announcer and panel operator.

In 1995 Ben, became the youngest Announcer on Macquarie Radio Networks Easy Listening Station 2CH, hosting the Weekday Mid-dawn program. Ben, also took on the added responsibilities of Outdoor Promotions and Community Service Co-ordinator and later Breakfast Producer. Ben also worked on 2CH's sister station 2GB TALK 873 as a panel operator and co-host to Fiona McCullam, on her Psychic Show.

For the last 10 years Ben has lectured full time at TAFE - Sydney Institute educating other young radio hopefuls studying Radio Broadcasting at Petersham TAFE College. Here Ben heads a team of radio experts and works with new talent wanting a career in the multi media world.

In 2005 Ben wrote a radio show called The Ballroom Glitz based on his experience of Ballroom Dancing from his childhood. Ben had no luck in Australia with the show and flew to LA and New York to meet with the radio executives to get his show on the air in America. This dream became a reality with the program being picked up by the Music of Your Life taking listeners on magical musical escape into the fabulous world of ball gowns, tails and all that is ballroom dancing.
 
Now at 35 Ben Starr's passion and dedication continues through his work in education and training, Internet radio broadcasting, writing radio programs, his radio consulting services and his announcing duties on America's Music of Your Life.
