radio stations to listen to. Great Programming and the music is even
better than I remembered.

Hi Marc: So enjoying this weeks programming. Doris Day singing "I'll never
stop loving you" - a real classic - thanks. Who do you think could
match that? I personally don't know, do you?

Dear Pat Boone,
right now I'm sitting here, in Rio de Janeiro, listening to the radio, and I'd
appreciate it a lot if you'd sing "April Love", remindind the "old times"... I'm
59 years old and sure was your fan, since you started singing.

Hi All
I am 47 and grew up in the San Jose, Ca area. My mom and dad
always had the "Music of you Life" on the radio. It comforted me then and
I still love it now. I mean of course I loved the music of my time also, Disco,
R&B, Jazz etc. But this is truely amazing memorable music. It just brings
tears to my eyes to hear it again. I know I will listen often now that I found
it again
Thank You

I am listening to the wonderful programming provided by your website
as I type this email !!!
Allow me to introduce myself. I am a 53 year-old 3rd-generation
native-born San Franciscan who immigrated to Israel in 1980 when I was
24.5 y/o.
I grew up with a radio glued to my ear - San Francisco radio of the 60's
really was the best. I want to express my heartfelt thanks, appreciation
and gratitude to you for bringing back treasured and valuable
memories of the 24.5 years I spent listening to radio in S.F. before coming
to Israel.
Sincerely yours,

Sorry to hear than the local MOYL affiliate, WJIL AM in Jacksonville Illinois
has dumped MOYL as its' format. I think that this is a shame as they
switched their format to music of the 60s, 70s & 80s....Stations carrying
that format are a dime a dozen.I am glad that I can STILL listen to MOYL online.
Thanks

I am really enjoying your station online from eastern WV. May I ask if you
have Debby Boone's renditions of "The Best is Yet to Come", "Time After
Time", and "Blue Skies"?? I'd love to ear them. Also, with the Nov-Dec
holidays not too far off, would you have Debby's version of "Christmas
Time Is Here" for the upcoming holidays?? I'd love to hear that one this
year. Again, I love your station.

Hi Jacquie and Marc,
Just thought you would like to see what was on the projection screen a
couple of times during Denise's concert last night. This picture was taken
during the pre show sound check because I couldn't take any during the
actual show, but it makes the point. We did a montage of slides during the
intermission and this slide was shown several times, then towards the
end of the concert we put it back up and Denise gave MOYL a big plug
and told the audience they can listen online even if there isn't an affiliate
nearby. We also had flyers saying the same thing in the lobby and
it looked like everyone in the audience took one on their way out.
Considering we had NO rehearsal other than the sound check the show
turned out great, and now we are negotiating with theaters and promoters
in many other cities where Denise is getting strong air play. We'll be
taking this slide with us!

Hi Jacquie and Marc,
Thanks in no small part to you Denise was number two on national radio
airplay charts for the Adult Standards format on the last report
we got from MusicWatch. At that time she was still climbing and Natalie
Cole who was number one was slipping, so who knows where it wound up.
I haven't seen the latest report yet. Two of the songs, Johnny Angel and
Fools Fall In Love are starting to cross over into other formats so we
still have a long way to go. We haven't even started the European radio
campaign yet.

DEAR MR. MARSHALL,
I HAVE FOLLOWED YOUR CAREER FOR MANY MANY MANY YEARS
AND I AM CURRENTLYLY LISTENING TO YOU ON KDFL IN
SPRINGFIELD MO. I LOVE ALL THE SONGS YOU PLAY AND ALL
THE SONGS YOU SING AND ALL THE HISTORY YOU TALK ABOUT
CONCERNING ALL THE STARTS I HAVE ENJOYED ALL THESE YEARS.
I AM 71. THERE ARE TWO SONGS THAT I HAVE NEVER HEARD YOU
PLAY THAT ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO MY PAST MEMORIES.
THEY ARE: SCOTCH AND SODA WHO I THINK MIGHT BE BY
THE KINGSTON TRIO AND THE OTHER IS "EARTH ANGEL"
WHOM I DON'T REMEMBER IT WAS BY. COULD I HEAR THEM
AND WOULD YOU PLEASE THEM A LITTLE MORE FREQUENTLY.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Peter--
I'm really enjoying your show this morning, over KLBB in Stillwater, Mn.
The E. Fitzgerald version of "I'm in Love" was great, and "Hit the Road Jack"
as well. That's because they aren't endless repeats of "the hits." Good as they were/are, they get tiresome over and over and over again. More variety is
GOOD! And you're GOOD too! Keep up the variety.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peter,
I truly love your program and the wonderful artists that are featured. I never
thought I would see the day when this great American Song Book music was
featured seven days of the week on a nationwide network that even reached
my small home town of Chambersburg, PA. Two names that I feel are missing
from the network's play list are: CLEO LAINE, and THE HI LOS. Hope you
can rectify this omission,

We've been an MYL affiliate for nearly a decade, but it's only been recently,
when we made a change to our transmitter, that I've been able to listen in
my home. Since then, the Music of Your Life has become the Music of My Life.
Keep up the good work! Here's to many more years of a relationship.

You mentioned Marty on your show of Monday 5/18. If he makes a Sinatra movie
I'm sure it will be excellent. Marty and I attended New York University back in the
early to mid '60's. I took some courses in the TMR department of Washington
Square College which is a division of N.Y.U. TMR was an acronym for Television,
Motion pictures and Radio. Marty was a high strung kid who talked fast and loved
movies. My faculty advisor was a Professor...Haig P. Manoogian, who knew alot
about making motion pictures and recognized Marty as a student with great
potential. Marty learned a lot from Manoogian but he was also completely
immersed in the culture of movie making. That's all he talked about and even
back then we could see that, unless he got sidetracked by "bad habits" he would
be a success.
The other kids and I, however, did not realize just the degree of fame he would
achieve. We used to call him..."Marty Movies".

I will keep listening!!!!

Greetings from Kingston Ontario Canada; Kingston is located half way
between Toronto & Montreal and about three hours north of Syracuse.
Instrumental music is such a vital part of
the Music of my Life; I can't imagine
the world without it. As a Classical Music fan and because of
the nature of it,
I probably listen to more instrumentals than anything else. Tcheikovsky said,
"Where words cease, there Music begins." If I was
the one playing
the Discs,
the listeners
would here an aninstrumental at least one out of every five or six. Sorry
about all
the JABBERING.
Thanks a Million for
the "MUSIC"

Oh, thank you so much for that information. I use to live in Topeka, KS and
listened to you on KTOP but when I moved up here, the station you had
listed on your website was not carrying Music of Your Life so I really haven't
tried the radio since. I have made my own CD's loaded with lots of the
"good music" that I use in an add-on 6 CD player in my car and a few days
ago, one of the CD's got jammed so I have been driving around in silence
for the past few days. Now I will get KLBB set up on my radio.
Thank you again - you've made my day.
Sincerely,
Diane

on the artist and your personal friendship with them. You are truely a delight to
listen to.
I would like to ask you a question about the lady that sings a song "More
Than You Know". You all play that recording often but I have been unable
to hear the artist name. If you can help me I would appreciate it very much.
Please keep up the good work and my best wishes always.

"The Hollywood Squares". Will "The Hollywood Squares" ever be released
on DVD? I just love the show, and would enjoy seeing It again. I hope
someday you release a Country CD. One Of my favorites you do Is "Oh
You Crazy Moon". God has really blessed you with many talents. Your a
great entertainer. Take Care&May God Bless You And Your Faimly!

Johnny:
Again, I want to salute your mastery of the play list and your "in touch
with the listeners" manner. Undoubtedly, you have a gift, but I'm certain
what you do also entails a helluva lot of hard work. Thanks for coming in!
The voices of three greats are worthy to be heard again: John Gary,
Julie London and the serious stuff of Perry Como. These folks were as
good as yourself at bringing musical pleasure to their audience. I don't
know anything about play list politics, but they are deserving, nonetheless.
Also would like to hear more early Sinatra, e.g., "Old Man River", "The
Old Master Painter from the Far-Away Hills", etc.
Keep up the great work. Best regards,
Larry Ernst

I have listened to KIXI for 43 years and will give it up only when I die. I love
both the music and all the trivia regarding the music and the performers.
I especially enjoy Peter Marshall. Please more Doris Day and Eva Cassidy
with even more Michael Buble and Diana Krall. Thank you for the shake,
rattle, and showtime features also It really is the music of my life. P.S. I
also enjoy the Jessica Mulaskey and John Pizzarelli shows. I find my
children enjoying much of the same music as my wife Patti and I.

Hi Steve,
Was listening to you online, and recalled my one meeting with Mel.
I was traveling back to LA from BookExpo NYC where I had premiered my
first book. Near the end of the flight I noticed that setting a couple of rows in
front of me was Mr. Torme, and being a great fan of his, I wanted to just say
thanks for the great music he had made.
Well, after we landed, I tried to catch up with him in the terminal. The faster
I moved, the faster he did too. Finally I caught up with him, and his face was
filled with fear. I instantly understood... here, was a very large and tall, long
haired Indian chasing him, and he was trying to escape... "Where is John
Wayne when you need him," I said, trying to lighten the moment. egads,
was I sorry.
I tried to appologize, but he was having none of it and promptly left.
That was the end of the encounter.
So I guess the only thing I can do now is to apologize to you... for him.
I am so sorry that I caused your dad any distress.
As for Steve March Torme...
I do so enjoy your work Steve, and try to catch your broadcasts. Keep up
the great work.
Respectfully, a devoted fan of your father..
and fast becoming a fan of yours also.
PS: Get well soon. (We Shawnee usually take sassafras tea to comfort the throat.)

Just wanted to drop a line and say thank you for keeping what I believe
to be the best music ever recorded on the air. I'm 45 now and can
remember riding in my mom's '57 Belair Station Wagon listening to you

Rock and Roll--I listened to Kay Starr. Recently found you again on HD2

Springfield, MO I listen to KBFL "Music of Your Life". From Springfield to
Stoutland, MO (going east toward St. Louis) I get it loud and clear. The closer
I get to home I lose it. Three years ago I drove that route to Springfield many,
many times taking my 46 year old son to the hospital. He had cancer. He was
a music and movie buff. He could name every singer or band. I lost him to
cancer but I would like to know if we could get that station in this area if
possible. We have KJPW/KFBD and KFLW 98.9 The Fort. I love your station.
It's music I grew up with. Hope you can help.

Several years ago a local station carried your format, then they dropped
it and went to "head bangin' noise." We are thrilled to once again hear your
format on digital radio. My wife and I both grew up on Big Band, Swing,
Cabaret, Torch Singers, and Malt shop heartthrobs. We wish to congratulate
for keeping the best music genre alive and well. We enjoy all the commentary
and info on the various artists & the presenting "DJ.s" We even have some
"teenie-boppers" who have commented on liking 'some' of your music, and
I take that as a compliment as to the quality. Keep up the good work,
and thanks.
